Youth Strength + Conditioning
We run 8-12 week sessions with 2 classes a week for Cape Ann athletes to improve their strength and conditioning. Each session is an hour and fifteen minutes that includes a breakdown of the warm-up, the workout and other important details the athletes need to move correctly and improve their athletic capabilities. With limited class sizes, we are able to give each athlete individualized training in a group setting. For more information on our next session, please email kara@capeann.com. Our programming focuses on moving correctly with body weight before adding load. Functional movements and strength components that will apply to competition sport like air squats, push-ups, pull-ups, box jumps, running, sled drags, etc will be used throughout the session. Small class sizes ensure that individual attention can be given to each athlete to ensure the programming is tailored to the individual's level of fitness and ability.
Since we run group training, an emphasis is also placed on camaraderie, sportsmanship and encouraging others in the class. Integrity, kindness, hard work and being coachable will be expected of each athlete.

Coach Vince is a Gloucester native and has been a coach and trainer for over 10 years. He was a high school athlete and continues to stay active in the community through surfing, dory boat rowing, and being a member and coach at CrossFit Cape Ann.
Vince specializes in proper mechanics and is skilled at being able to scale individual athletes to their proper load for best performance. He understands the importance of dynamic movement in sports and programs the workouts for our athletes accordingly.
